Summer 2016 hair report: Five chic and easy looks for hot temps

The warmer temperatures of summer give way to a whole new wave of social functions — pool parties, BBQs, bon fires, concerts and more. With a newly jam-packed calendar full of outdoor activities, the last thing you want to do is spend all day styling, and then worrying about, your hair. But that doesn't mean you need to settle for anything less than an amazing hair day. We've rounded up five of our favorite summer hairstyles-that will work in any weather-and we're giving you the how- to’s for creating each sexy look.

HALO BRAID

When going for a thick halo braid, keep the direction of the plait in mind, and be sure to use Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME™ Biotin+ Volume™ Mousse beforehand to give the style extra hold. The braid is shaped on the outside—it's important to know where to start so you'll know where to finish. Try starting behind your right ear and work down across the nape of your neck so the front is thicker, and you can seamlessly tuck the rest of your length into the style.

NATURAL CURLS

For a style that requires no heat tools at all, wear your hair in its natural texture. Incorporate Schwarzkopf essence ULTIME Omega Repair™ Shampoo and Conditioner into your routine to keep the summer elements from drying out your strands, and avoid putting your hair into styles that pull on it to keep breakage to a minimum. Before you shampoo, comb out your hair with a wide-tooth comb. The wider the teeth, the less strain and breakage you're going to have.

BEACHY WAVES

Loose, tousled waves are a summer essential. Humidity actually works with the style to create a carefree feel. On your damp hair, spread Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME Amino-Q Hold™ Mousse from root to tip, allowing it to air-dry and bring out your natural waves. Then loosely wrap sections around a medium-barrel curling iron. Rake your fingers through the ringlets after they have cooled to rough up the texture.

HIGH PONY

A high ponytail is playfully sexy, and perfect for a hot summer night. Apply Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME Crystal Shine™ Heat Protection Spray before blowing your hair out, then spray on Schwarzkopf essence ULTIME Diamond Color™ Shine Spray to add extra shine. After a quick pass with a straightening iron, gather your strands into a high ponytail, keeping a center part to maintain a modern look.

TEXTURED UPDO

A day at the beach doesn’t have to mean stressing over salt-soaked hair.  If you hit the shore, but don't have time to re-style, try a textured updo. Apply Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME™ Biotin+ Volume™ Mousse to damp-from-the-sea hair, shake out your strands and then divide your hair into four sections. Then twist each section into a piecey bun. Rub the silhouette of your hairline to bring out your baby hairs and intentional fly-aways. This gives the style a perfectly undone look.

Look hot and stay cool all summer long with all your favorite products from the Schwarzkopf essence ULTIME™ and styliste ULTIME  lines.
